Specialised Air Motors and Transmission (SAMT) Tonson can supply VIS brake motors and electromagnetic brakes.
VIS is a product of COEL Italy.
Since 1976, COEL has designed and manufactured brake motors and electromagnetic brakes producing all the components including the brake units in its facilities.
With over 30 years experience as a brake and motor manufacturer, Coel developed the VIS modular brake for hazardous environments. The modular design provided an easy solution to add a brake to an existing motor without the need to modify or apply for any additional certification.
The VIS brakes range is in continuous development in order to ensure that quality and performance is continually improved and the range today includes various versions with braking torques between 3 to 16,000 Nm, suitable for any application.
For hoisting, travelling, positioning in hazardous environments, the VIS brakes are the safe and reliable solution.
